About Us
Greenhill
Golf Trolleys some interesting facts:
Founded in 1991 by a gentleman
called Peter Hawkes as a new start-up business with the aim of manufacturing
Golf trolleys, Peter’s background was mechanical engineering and design with
his early industrial working life coming from tool making. He left the Midland
based baby buggy manufacturer Maclaran as Technical Director and move North to
the Yorkshire Dales where he and his wife Janet had a holiday home which then
became their main home.
The first product designed was a
Pull Golf trolley soon followed by what is now the legendary three wheel Push’N’Pull
Golf Trolley.
1994 saw the introduction of the
first electric golf trolley from Greenhill this became known as the GreenMaster
670, 670 being designated as the width of the golf trolley and incorporating
the now famous ‘Z’ folding chassis.
Under new ownership in 2002 the
introduction of the GreenMaster 600S series which employed a unique independent
suspension system so unique that a Patent was registered and granted, another
first was the incorporation of the fold under front wheel for even more
compactness as a result a range of electric golf trolleys base on these sound
design concepts were developed.
Design Features include:
- Enhancing the compactness of
our trolleys when folded for transport.
- Trolleys to be light weight,
well balanced, simple to operate and compact to store.
- Trolleys to be strong and
super lightweight (keep the overall weight to a minimum by using a durable
and rugged aluminium chassis).
- Substantially improve the
smoothness of motion for often heavily-laden golf trolleys, over uneven
terrain found on the majority of golf courses.
- Reducing the wear and tear of
the principle components, especially bearings and axle shafts.
- Reducing the fatigue of the
golfer using the trolley.
- Incorporating each of these
goals without compromising the trolley's original strengths.
Early 2006 came the introduction of
the new ergo handle designed for use for both left or right handed people has
proved to be very popular especially with lady golfers.
All the models are made from high
specification aluminium box section tubing for maximum rigidity and strength
and all the other trolley components being sourced within the UK giving the
Greenhill trolley the distinction of being an all UK product, which makes a
change theses days!
We source all our trolley
components from the following counties:
Leicestershire
Shropshire
West Midlands
Staffordshire

The Product is hand built and
tested in our factory from where we ship to our customers around the
